Earlier today the barn next to the church collapsed. Thankfully no one was hurt. There is some debris next to the right-of-way, and there is a part of the wall near the church still standing, so some demolition is necessary.
The weight of the snow took it down. I don't know for sure how long it has stood next to the church (and it may even precede the building of the church) but it is a long time. It is sad to see another of the great symbols of Otisville's wonderful past slip away.
I suspect there will be some issues related to the church, since the space between us and the barn is tiny, but not too much. I have a feeling a bulldozer will be needed to get into the barn, and that will probably close off our right-of-way for a day. I don't think it will limit other access, so regular activities should be fine.
